Only 11 days before we take off…that is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These last couple weeks have been hard saying goodbye to people and I imagine the next week and a half will be even harder as I say goodbye to my close family and friends. There are a lot of people that I have said goodbye to that I will probably never see again. These are people that I would call friends but never developed a close connection with. I wish I would have made more of an effort to get to know some people better. I have grown up moving every two or three years so I have been conditioned to distance myself from people to ease the ultimate seperation. However, it’s hard to make a real difference in anybody’s life with this distancing. To everybody who this applies, I’m sorry for not making the effort to get to know you better. Thank you for being in my life…you have all taught me something, God bless you all.
I hope that during this trip God gives me the strength to connect more with people despite the knowledge that the relationship will probably be short-lived. Some people may only be in my life for a moment but in that moment I can still make a difference if I have a loving attitude.
Anyways, I have most of the stuff I need for my trip now. It’s hard to believe in 12 days Adam and I will be in Buenos Aires!
